I am looking at them as a result of this thread and it is rather eye opening. (Of course the one book missing is H because my cousin lost it after borrowing it for a school paper back in the day), but I looked at other topics. No mention of any camps by name - the closest I found was just Bergen as a city and seaport in Norway. The term Nazi refers you to National Socialism of which there is a fair amount of information. I was going to do a write up about this topic after watching all three seasons of Hunting Hitler, which originally aired on the History Channel in 2015-2018. The show uncovers proof that Hitler likely escaped to South America along with Bormann and thousands of Nazis. This isn't an Ancient Aliens type of show. These guys explore Nazis military outposts in Argentina and a Nazi compound in Chile.
One of the most significant yet unreported facts is the Allies never found proof Hitler was dead. We were always told the Soviets confiscated a fragment of Hitler's skull. DNA tests in recent years revealed the skull belonged to a female.

One other point: The show explores how Hitler was using German corporations and resources located in South American to stage the 4th Reich, which would've been a clandestine attack on the US with nuclear and chemical weapons. Though that plan never came to fruition, it's plausible that the mission against the US and the West could have evolved into an operation to corrupt the culture and government like we see today. Examples of how this unfolded could be seen in Angela Merkel and her policy of mass migration into Germany, or how so many illegals into the US originate from Central America.
I think that is more of a doing of communism. As I understand the same thing was happening in Germany and that's brought Hitler to popularity in the first place.
Read up on the Weimer republic. It was pretty crazy. Possibly more debauched that we are today. Some of the writings of famous communists even talk about replacing populations.
Many communist and fascist tactics and ideas were identical. Philosophically, the two are very close despite what's taught in schools. The idea that they're opposites was the result of Stalinist propaganda that spread worldwide.
Something most people are not aware of is that the Nazis began debasing their own culture in the latter years of their reign. In the early years they promoted family and sexual puritanism, then later flipped the message and promoted sexual liberalism. There's film footage of sexualized and topless women in German parades. They encouraged Germans to breed out of wedlock.
They also abandoned some ideals of Aryanism, like when they recruited Muslims to fight for them in Eastern Europe. There's footage of Nazi generals kneeling on prayer rugs and praying toward Mecca, right next to Muslims wearing Nazi uniforms. I saw this in a docuseries called The Hitler Chronicles. Just more examples of the history that's not taught.

My grandparents bought a set of Encyclopedia Britannica - the old fashioned leather bound ones that were then an investment - published 1961. I have by default inherited them. I am looking at them as a result of this thread and it is rather eye opening. (Of course the one book missing is H because my cousin lost it after borrowing it for a school paper back in the day), but I looked at other topics. No mention of any camps by name - the closest I found was just Bergen as a city and seaport in Norway. The term Nazi refers you to National Socialism of which there is a fair amount of information. This little nugget I found interesting given our recent history in that it states that 'Hitler's most important individual contribution to his theory and practice of National Socialism was his deep understanding of mass psychology and mass propaganda in the contemporary world and his perfection of the methods learned from Bolshivek technique.' (That old playbook!) The entry on WW2 is huge, but it is more about the military campaigns. One brief mention of Hitler's suicide in the fall of Berlin.
Another interesting nugget was when I looked up Nuremberg;. The only reference in the history of the city is "it was also the scene of the Allied trials of German War criminals." Um, ok. But no mention of them - no entry for Eichmann, no Mengele. And this is some 15 years aftet the war. Yet, there are all kinds of bios of people. Example: In looking for Mengele, I found entries on George Meredith, Frances Meres, Dimitri Merezhkovsky and Ottomar Mergenthaler. But not some of what I would say are the most well-known names to come out of WW2.
My parents also purchased a set of Encyclopedias in the late sixties that are in the closet. I will have to check and compare.
