It costs a lot more to insure a Tesla than any other vehicle at the moment and if you put a charging station in your home it is going to increase your homeowners insurance. Panels on the roof? Companies have already started denying coverage. There is too much risk. It may not be the case at every insurance company yet but i think it will be very soon.
