So, back in the day there was a late night radio talk show host named Art Bell who talked about big foot, UFO's and weird shit. One night he reported on a major wild fire going on in the south east US and suggested to his audience to do a thought control experiment and told millions of his listeners to focus on sending rain to the effected areas of the raging fires.
He never tried the experiment again because the deluge that transpired out of nowhere caused mass flooding.
I say we repeat the experiment and all of us, in unison, direct our intentions to forming a lightening strike of such magnitude hitting that balloon, that it not only bursts the bubble but fries all the electronics on board.
There is an excellent story arc in the Dr. Who TV series, several years back that touched on this very concept, and how it needed to be planned out in advance, from a science fiction perspective. Superbly written sci fi story.
Which season/episodes?
I am a huge fan of Doctor Who going back to the Tom Baker days of the late 70's and early 80's. I have watched all of the new series and have seen most seasons a few times, But I drink and smoke the whacky way too much when going on a DW binge.
Again, which season/episodes? I will re-watch with a different perspective.
The way the story arc is written makes it impossible for me describe all the connected episodes, and it's been a long time since I watched it.
I do remember that the Dalek's were directly involved in a number of the episodes, and that Dr. Who ended up being captured, and his "team" of allies were scattered. I only know about it because a friend knew the story arc well, and was able to skip episode to make a weekend binge watch of that particular story line. I don't want to give any spoilers, but Perhaps you could ask around on some Dr. Who fan sties to help narrow it down?
But then the 50 foot burn hole thru someone's pasture could be a problem lol
I doubt the 2-300 lurkers who read this would garner the same power of 2 million insomniac minds focusing on rain, but if they all did it, I could envision something like the lightening strikes in the movie THE CORE, getting totally out of hand and ruinating some poor little town that the Chi Com balloon happened to be above at the time. Unintended consequences of creative envisioning, now that's a book title.
Better write it ;)
This is the truth they hide from us...our power to influence our environment when we join in intent and expectation. This was the theme in the book The Symbol.
I like watching podcasts, like AWK, Julie Green, and Amanda Grace, where a million viewers are praying with the host. Even though we are watching it at varying times, it still feels like our faith is amplified.
And websites like this are so important, because truth that will lead to joy (eventually) is known and shared, which effects the intent and expectation of an emensely large group.
Thanks, GAW.
There is another concern. The balloon may be full of Fentanyl that would be released if pierced or spores of a virus or pathogen that would be sent all over through the air. Worse, it could be carrying an EMP.
Or, it may just be surveillance.
I think it would be better to capture it and take it down to examine.
I was being flippant but you are right. I had not considered the Trojan horse aspect.
Everyone should now focus on the CCP balloon being sent to an alternate universe/timeline where Marxists have taken over the world and then have it struck by lightening.
Wait. Aren't there more pressing things?
Like getting Joe Biden and Kamala out of office or arrested?
Or removing the corruption in Washington?
Getting the homeless and the drug addicts off the streets everywhere?
Bringing prosperity and health back to the world.
Fixing the broken election system...etc.?
Those things are all time consuming processes and also involve bending your will against the contrary will of those making it happen. Popping a balloon only takes a momentary physical event.
8 pm ET prayer plan every day right here on GAW!! Check it out.
If we're gonna do this let's do it big. focus on the kingdom to come. Best is yet to come
I'm pretty sure that, collectively, we've had more people praying for our country, and for an end to this madness...in numbers that would absolutely dwarf the listening audience of Art Bell's.
I'm still waiting for those results.
Seems worth a try to me, better than waiting for the government. Jesus did say faith would move mountains. If you are worried about lightning damage, visualize a rip in the balloon. It's at a high altitude. It's very cold up there. Remember how a great ship was brought down by some trivial rubber rings getting too cold and shattering. It could happen that there is such a weakness in this balloon. A tiny meteoroid could hit it and deflate it too. No need for all this violence.
PS This way it falls down with the electronics intact and we get the benefit.
What if it's filled with fentanyl? We might accidently kill millions with our "good intentions".
Why would it be filled with fentanyl, for heaven's sake. Like the poor cat in the adage, letting "I dare not!" wait upon "I would!" you people are.
PS You originally believed in the possibility of thought turning into a reality. If you have such faith you'd better discipline that thought to good outcomes instead of conjuring up the most horrible disasters.
This is a thought experiment, which has yielded good fruit if you read above.
The Fentanyl was not my idea but a logically suspicious poster earlier, saying since the balloon is a CCP soft attack, they may be testing the intelligence of our armed forces by daring them to blow up something that could kill millions in the process.
I'd say getting people to think about unintended consequences of well meaning decisions, if we had the power, was a success.
Since I actually have great faith in the consequences of thought, and prayer, I do consider that. There's some comfort in a catechism advice that God answers every *proper" prayer. Hoping for pain and destruction is not a proper prayer, or the landscape would be littered with charred corpses of annoying people. On a secular level, we have plenty of examples of "good" intentions having bad results, yet almost every one of those "unintended consequences" should have been foreseen, since there was more time and effort involved than just visualizing an outcome. As to the balloon, willing it to quietly deflate and sink seems to me more in the nature of a prayer than a secular plan, and prayer for protection from hostile forces is usually proper. It could be a weapon, as that very possibility was thought of in WWII by both the Japanese and the Americans: There are still a few reminders along the Oregon coast of lookout stations. But a high altitude balloon that could be eliminated in a fireball would be a risky and clumsy poison delivery system. I think another poster is probably right, it is our own balloon and the PTB don't want to admit it.
