I seriously don't understand China's supposed goal for conquest here in the US, what's the actual goal here? Official numbers suggest that China was trying to win via economic means, via Belt and Road and stealing US IPs, but even the official state propaganda would put that out another 10-15 years. Meanwhile, any military action like that runs extreme risk of blowing up in their face via stunting their economic programs, and seriously wrecking property and US bonds they've been buying in high quantities for decades now. Of course, that would come with the inevitiable decoupling of the 2 countries, which would deal a killing blow to China anyways. Let's not pretend like China has a super thriving economy that's not dependant on the US importation.
