The only reason why I posted about the Springfield Underground recently is because we need to listen to all viewpoints. With that being said, here is the viewpoint from an actual trucker that I follow. His name is Steve and he made a delivery in Springfield at the end of April 2021. Video of him making the delivery "27 hours early". And here is what he delivered.

Lol, he stopped at my favorite Kum & Go whenever I have to go to Spfd. (20 mi from my house).
Not surprised at all on them storing cheese there, one of the easiest places to refrigerate.
Springfield Underground actually extends under a large part of Springfield. (Denies any responsibility as to sinkholes in town). I heard RUMOR that Associated Wholesale Grocers (Just a bit SW) actually has elevator access.
Next trip was back to the Underground for a load to take to Champaign. Then it was a few days off the truck for him.
Also home to Prime trucking. They have a huge facility that also goes underground. They do flatbed , dryvan and refrigerator trucks. I've been there. The fleet mostly consists of International trucks. The company also let's the " new" recruits ( I am female) with a male driver, double bunk sleeper for 6 weeks to get the feel of road life! It's very creepy. I left. Did have a cdl permit though! 😁.
