A mod's life is full of difficult judgement calls. Did we make the right decision with that one post? Were we too harsh, perma-banning that one troll? Here's a real quandary... Did we go too far, perma-banning u/Blind-fury? I will happily allow him back if you guys want him! Thoughts?

I can understand the downvotes, but you're absolutely right.
Anyone who spends a few years in conspiracy forums will observe that there is a fringe group of that community who truly is disconnected from reality. With no facts anchoring them, they will waste time entertaining the most ridiculous notions.
Worse still, those people are the useful idiots of the "conspiracy theory" community. DS shills push nonsense theories to make us all look bad, and these fools play right into it.
What does this mean

His comment wasn't even that bad. Despite the implication that he was a flat earther, I took it as a light-hearted joke. Oh well.
