The wife and I don’t always see eye to eye politically. I won’t get into specifics…
… So this morning she shows me a clip from what sounds like Colbert. They’re talking with patriots outside of a Trump rally. The Patriots are talking about how Trump is still President, Biden is a fake, and the military is in control, with the audience laughing in between each claim… She knows that I frequent the Q board and have strong opinions on anything labeled a “conspiracy theory”. So the video ends and she asks me, “You don’t really believe that, do you? Please tell me you don’t believe that.”
Here’s what I did. I said, “They’re talking about devolution theory. I’m familiar with the concept. It states that the President has the power to transition his power to the military in times of war to keep the country from collapsing. I’ve read up on it, and it’s pretty interesting.”
“But you don’t believe that, do you?”
“Look. I can’t prove that Trump is still President. But I can say that there’s been a lot of strange things happening since Trump left the White House. I mean, if Trump WAS still President, then I’d be pretty upset with him. If Trump was still President, why would he let gas prices double, or triple in some places? Why would Trump let our energy independence go to waste? Why would he let our Strategic Petroleum Reserves get drained? Look at the withdrawl in Afghanistan. Look at what Russia is doing to Ukraine. Look at the border crossings! Look at the Chinese balloon that just flew over the country! NONE of that would’ve happened if Trump were President!”
… and she agreed with me.
That's progress! My husband voted for Clinton over Bush way back when. We were both wrong, but at least now he votes AGAINST any democrat and is a huge Trump supporter.
And now we know who the Bush’s are too now. We are all learning, I voted for Bush and Mitt Romney now we know all about them.
I was a Bush dummy too. But in my own defense, I never could stand Mittens.
Ross Perot guy here.
Me too. What a disappointment. I assume that his family was threatened . . .
Avote for Clinton was a vote for Bush. They were the same cabal!
My husband did the same thing. Now he’s more MAGA than anyone I know. I voted for Perot. My parents thought I was helping Clinton win. Probably. I look back and wonder if the Clintons hired Perot to run and split the conservative vote…. Anything’s possible!
