Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. — Matthew 6:34
Over the past few days, there have been a lot of people discussing recent bank failures and economic pressures. We have witnessed two banks fail, one of which directly affected someone that I know from New York. There have been stories shared about how there are concerns for many other major banks across the world.
It isn’t just the banks, either. I read one article that shared an expected stock crisis. This writer said they had seen all indications that the stock market was going to crash to levels not seen in decades. They predicted lost money and difficult times ahead. This has led to a lot of posts online and discussions about what is going to happen in the future.
As I read through these things, I could not help but think about Jesus’ teaching here in Matthew 6:34. If I were to summarize what Jesus said, it would be, “why are you worried about tomorrow? There is enough to worry about today. Stop worrying about what you cannot control.” Which is the truth!
None of us know what tomorrow will hold. Sure, these financial experts may be correct, and the stock markets and banks may all be in crisis tomorrow. Just as much as we may wake up and things move along as they have many other days. We cannot control the future.
I’m so glad that I know the one who knows the future and controls it. God is not worried about what is going to happen tomorrow. In fact, God is not even worried about how He will take care of His children here on earth. Time and again, God has cared for His own all throughout history.
So don’t spend your day worried about tomorrow. Instead, focus on the God who is in control of tomorrow. Share all your care and concern with Him and trust Him. As the little kids often sing, “He’s got the whole world in His hands.” It’s more than just the world, He’s got you in His hands and He will take care of you.

God's light will shine into the darkest of valleys.....
Funny, as I was reading this post, I thought of you. Was glad to see you in the comments. Uplifting, isn’t it? Thanks to ashlanddog for posting.
Yes Ashland faithfully posts these gems...worth his weight in gold...and I appreciate you thinking of me...it is a rocky road...a difficult journey to say the least...it is amazing how many anons have traveled this road...even if you just focus on today...sometimes that can still be overwhelming...we just put one foot in front of the other and carry on...God bless you...
I truly understand- sometimes it comes down to focusing on just the present moment, and then the next…..may God bless you, too, with His strength and peace.
That is absolutely true...I one time did a 125 mile bike ride from Illinois to the highest point in Wisconsin...as you rode up the mountain...the trick was not to look ahead but to look down and that helped you to focus on the short term ...which then gave you the long term victory of conquering the mountain...
I am feeling very much like that is a very similar circumstance now...perspective is everything...
The journey of a thousand steps starts with just one step...and sometimes those are just baby steps...
God bless your day...
So, a few days ago, I came across a video posted here created by Trey Smith https://rumble.com/embed/v29xr3k/?pub=4
It gave me hope and made me realize that both from a Q perspective and a Biblical perspective that this nation must come to its knees before the people will repent but it is God not man who subdues and lifts nations up.
Trey Smith researches and makes videos on a (now deceased) modern day prophet that predicted Trump as president years before Trump was even thought about as a candidate, he predicted a time where people would be divided and two presidents would be in power over the US and also predicted Trump would get two terms in office and the country after great darkness would become a nation of God again.
So, I think folks should be prepared for the worst to come but also hold on to hope through faith that God is in control. It is hard to explain but be Zen like in your faith when shit hits the fan, live in faith not fear. If you listen, the spirit will guide you, if you panic in fear another spirit will guide you.
...compelling addendum....
