I used GPT4 to solve a couple goofy stupid UI/UX thing I have never liked about the site.The flairs sometimes need a scrollbar if they don't fit into the screen. Same with tards that have too many mod-notes. GUESS WHAT? I used GPT4 and fixed it!
EDIT: THIS MEANS THAT TARDS CAN HAVE MORE NOTES, WHICH MEANS MODS MIGHT BE LESS INCLINED TO PERMA-BAN THEM. Hmmm, implications of AI, already being felt?
It took me about 30 minutes of playing around because GPT4 won't be able to look at our CSS (too big). So, using "inspect element" in my browser, I was able to finally isolate the page source code, ask GPT4 for what CSS class I was looking for, then it identified it, and ONE MINOR CHANGE (see pic) and presto, our site is awesome. And tards can stay for longer now (wait, is this a good thing?) because the mod notes, too, have scrollbars.
Today I saw a program that you can add to your scripts or code that when you have a crash in your code, it feeds the error into GPT4, troubleshoots the code, uploads it, all without programmer intervention. Wow, hold on to your butts folks.
I've been using GPT4 over the past week to generate curriculum for my teaching job. The books that we have this year have absolutely no curriculum other than a brief assessment after each chapter. I had a digitized copy of the book on hand in PDF format. I copied the text from each chapter, wrote up a quick prompt for GPT4 with instructions to create vocabulary study lists, project ideas, and extended chapter assessments. Not only did GPT4 do everything I asked it to do, the quality was of a level that was acceptable for use in the field with minimal modifications.
GPT4 will even write lesson plans for all the materials to guide in how best to teach the content. Its astounding! Definitely a game changer. I only wish that we had access to the entire A.I. and could remotely run the model from our own computers without Open A.I. guard rails. Being able to custom tailor your own A.I. for individualized needs is going to be the future of the market.
I'm actually looking into AI at work to see if we can deploy an assistant for the support engineers on which tool to go to for particular logs. Then set one up to consolidate all the logs and join the two together.
GPT 3.5 is better than 4 at coding by a country mile. GPT4 is better at code oversight, it's a great partner, but 3.5 yields better results, especially in terms of JS\ or UX design. I'm designing basic little JS games with it
It’s an interesting time. We are seeing new technological developments that even a few decades ago were the stuff of science-fiction and fantasy entering prototype and early development phases.
And rumors of far more advanced technologies squirreled away that make what’s being released now look archaic in comparison.

For coders who haven't played with it yet, would you be able to give us an idea of what specifically you had to input to get that, and what it gave you?
all this AI crap sounds like an excellent way to continue dumbing down the people.

Not especially, but it can be cumbersome at times.
