This is how the f*ckwit flat earth scam works. Over many months, they drop lie after tiny lie, and count on you not to do your research. Like this one. NASA destroyed the moon tapes? No, they SOLD them. At auction. To GARY GEORGE. For $218. He later sold them at Sotheby's for $1.82 million! (media.greatawakening.win)

***Space nerd, here. Isn't it interesting that the tards conveniently omit the story of Gary George who, in 1976, bought a collection of videotapes at a government surplus auction. Unbeknownst to him at the time, the tapes he purchased contained original footage of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, which took place in 1969.

Gary George was an intern at NASA when he purchased the tapes for around $218. The collection contained over a thousand reels, and George initially sold and donated most of the tapes to local television stations and schools. It wasn't until years later that he realized the historical significance of the remaining tapes in his possession.

These tapes contained raw, unprocessed footage of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, including Neil Armstrong's first steps on the lunar surface and the planting of the American flag. The video quality of this footage was significantly better than what was broadcasted on television at the time, as the broadcast signals had to be compressed and converted to fit the analog TV standards.

In 2019, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, George decided to sell the tapes at a Sotheby's auction. The tapes, which were described as "the earliest, sharpest, and most accurate surviving video images of man's first steps on the Moon," were sold for a staggering $1.82 million.

RESIST THE FLAT EARTH FAGGOTS. DO YOUR RESEARCH.

PS. If you want a space conspiracy, tune in and watch the $10B JWST telescope (currently in orbit in the gravity well that is L2, one million miles from the moon) as it completely destroys the Big Bang theory with what it is discovering at the edges of time. Absolutely mind blowing, and the Deep State academia is absolutely in a panic. Their control over the narrative, the story of creation, the beginning of life itself, the beginning of the material world, everything, is totally collapsing before our very eyes and there is nothing that they can do about it.

Astronomy has been a hobby of mine since I got my first telescope and Dad and I set it up in the backyard to watch for skylab.

I have seen Lunar libration with my own eyes. At any one time only 50% of the moons surface is visible but libration allows you to see another 9%, over time. I have seen the normally invisible Mare Orientalis, the largest crater on the moon, coming over the horizon during a libration.

I have seen the rings of Saturn where they disappear behind the planet. I have watched the moons of Jupiter and Saturn disappear around the backside and have done the math myself to figure out when they would reappear.

I have also tracked Orion across the sky and done the accompanying math to predict its position. I track the movement of Polaris to note the progress of it moving on and Vega becoming the new North Star. I have fun with the math. They are like puzzles for me. And this all is useful for orienteering.

Pythagoras sundial in 500 BC proved the earth is round. Aristotle wrote:

"Again, our observations of the stars make it evident, not only that the Earth is circular, but also that it is a circle of no great size. For quite a small change of position to south or north causes a manifest alteration of the horizon."

Eratosthenes first did the math predicting the circumference of the earth.

Fucking 2500 years the world has known or suspected that heavenly bodies are spherical and you have the psyop neanderthal idiots claiming it is flat. Former C_A Director William Casey said:

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false."

Flat earth is utter nonsense.

Utter nonsense. Also, we lost so much science thanks to Genghis Khan burning the Baghdad library, which at the time was one of the centerpieces of Persian science. Also turkey used to be one of the main science centers of the Ottoman Empire, and in fact, Turkey is where we get the shroud of turin, where it was originally protected after the death of christ. We have lost so much human knowledge over the centuries is just crazy. Great comment, frog.

One of the flat earthers favorite 'proofs' is that nobody has actually seen the curvature of the Earth. Look through a telescope and you can see for yourself the curvature of the moon. Sail on the sea with only a clock and astrolabe for navigation.

Utter nonsense.

Absolutely, mate. JWST is absolutely laying WASTE to so many long cherished astronomy and other space theories, it's just comical to watch all these tenured astrophysicists scramble to explain what they are seeing.

Here is a good overview of the last year of JWST:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imnWvsY8o3c

And here is an excellent hour-long lecture how that covers just a little bit in depth, but not too bad, some of the ways that jwst is rocking the foundations of the space science community:

I have been watching closely. The JWST recently focused on a galaxy whose light is older than their estimated age for the universe. They throw shit (thats what the big bang theory is, shit, expansion too) at the wall and hope it sticks. Or they know but just lie to the unwashed masses. Probably a bit of both.

Particle physics is another sore spot for me.

Im not sure where I read the exact statement that the light is older than the age of the universe but it was within the last month so I know my memory isnt that far off. Of course I easily could have misread it, but I dont think so.

Anyway here is something close:

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/jwsts-first-glimpses-of-early-galaxies-could-break-cosmology/

In their quest for quick results, the researchers relied on redshift estimates derived from simple brightness-based measurements. These are easier to obtain but less precise than direct measurements of redshift, which require more dedicated observation time. Nevertheless, the simplified technique can be accurate, and here it suggested a galaxy that was unexpectedly bright and big, already bearing a mass of stars equivalent to a billion suns, just a few hundred times less than that of the Milky Way's stellar population, despite our own galaxy being billions of years more mature. “This was beyond our most optimistic expectations,” says Tommaso Treu, an astronomer at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the lead on GLASS.

The record didn't last long. In the following days, dozens of galaxy candidates from CEERS and GLASS sprang into view with estimated redshifts as high as 20—just 180 million years after the big bang—some with disklike structures that were not expected to manifest so early in cosmic history. Another team, meanwhile, found evidence for galaxies the size of our Milky Way at a redshift of 10, less than 500 million years after the big bang.

Such behemoths emerging so rapidly defies expectations set by cosmologists' standard model of the universe's evolution. Called Lambda CDM (LCDM), this model incorporates scientists' best estimates for the properties of dark energy and dark matter, which collectively act to dominate the emergence of large-scale cosmic structures. (“Lambda” refers to dark energy, and “CDM” refers to dark matter that is relatively sluggish, or “cold.”) “Even if you took everything that was available to form stars and snapped your fingers instantaneously, you still wouldn't be able to get that big that early,” says Michael Boylan-Kolchin, a cosmologist at the University of Texas at Austin. “It would be a real revolution.”

For those unaware, redshift is similar to the doppler effect.

And here is two preprint papers:

https://arxiv.org/abs/2207.09434

https://arxiv.org/abs/2207.09436

But by using deduction, if a galaxy is at redshift 20, just 180 million years after their big bang, and contains billions of stars already, there isnt enough time for this to have happened through the commonly accepted theories of the big bang and galaxy formation. If its found to have a few million sun strong black hole at its center then your are really going to have to rethink the 'science'.

Its really the study of black holes though that has me throwing the big bang out with the bathwater.

It's a strange meme. I don't know why someone would link the Apollo moon landing psyop with flat earth nonsense.

The claims regarding telemetry are correct. To the best of NASA's knowledge, they reused the magnetic reals to 'save money'.

It's logical to delete a portion of evidence as it relates to a historic first for mankind, /sarc.

My guess is the telemetry was just simulation data sent from Bellcom. Probably why it had to be deleted.

Rewritten because I'm a part time mongo and missed the link between flat earth and moon landing on the meme.

Sorry, apologies, this meme is indeed about flat earth, but, the FE is actually secondary to my main point in posting this. One can relate it to this post, as well, which was not about FE at all, but was about the "they're already all been executed and have been replaced with body doubles." This post is more focused on drawing attention to the sneaky ways the DS inserts doubt and crazy conspiracy theories into our movement, by using repetition to stress you into not being able to research every lie, and eventually their lies slip into the realm of fact. Here is the previous exact point I made, here:

The data tapes exist, but NASA no longer had the computer equipment to read them. Somebody had equipment, and a group bought an abandoned McDonald's and set up shop with the equipment to copy the tapes, process them, and retrieve usable data.

– catsfive [S] 6 points 71 days ago +8 / -2

YESSSS, holy shit, another space nerd. Haha, username checks out. The project you're referring to was called the Lunar Orbiter Image Recovery Project (LOIRP). One very important correction to your comment, however: these tapes were from the Lunar Orbiter missions and not directly related to the telemetry data of the Apollo missions. Still, the project showcases the challenges and innovation that had to be deployed to recover and preserve this critical, historical data from the early years of space exploration. The mission's aim was to recover and digitize data from the Lunar Orbiter missions of the 1960s. These missions were all about mapping the Moon's surface to prep for the Apollo lunar landings.

But, it was basically the same challenge, so your comment totally holds. The original data tapes from the Lunar Orbiter missions were stored at the National Archives, but the tech to read them had become pretty much obsolete. So, in the early 2000s, a team led by Dennis Wingo and Keith Cowing managed to get their hands on the old tape drives and tapes. They set up their operation in an abandoned McDonald's building at NASA Ames Research Center in California.

Nice work, frog.

Thanks. I knew I'd read a long story about it, but misremembered exactly where the data was from.

BTW, I recently had 5 huge hard drives seemingly bit the dust. So right now, I'm in the process of hooking them up one at a time to copy everything off to a new NAS. The NAS has eight 16TB drives. I kept them separate instead of a RAID, as I've had problems before. It's odd that the drives seem to fail, but so far, I'm at #4 and still copying successfully. It takes close to a week for each one.

Hopefully I won't have to use data recovery on the remaining drive.

I'm not convinced that there was a manned mission to the moon, I'd have to see better evidence of it, it was politically expedient for the US to lie about a manned moon mission as part of the space race during the cold war. It's cheaper to fake going to the moon than to actually go there.

I watched it.

My misgivings about the moon landings are technical and political and aren't based on inconsistencies in the moon pictures.

All this video did was to use models to reproduce the pictures and their controversial artifacts and because "debunking" was the aim, they tuned the model to produce the artifacts. Since this wasn't the reason I doubted the moon mission, it doesn't make any difference to me and just looks lame.

Also if people talk about "debunking conspiracies" like this presenter did, you know they don't have an open mind or they have an agenda.

I'm quite happy to coexist with people who believe we landed on the moon and I usually don't need to talk about it, but I am in serious doubt about the moon mission and this video just adds to that.

Please don't suspend or ban me again for commenting on your own post that obviously wants comments. I too am a space nerd but not in the same degree as most. I see space as fiction and it is my favorite genre for reading good science fiction stories but to me it is purely fiction. That is actually how NASA began. Ron L Hubbard, (Scientology) who wrote hundreds of science fiction books before there was even Buck Rogers, was best friends, roomates and fellow occultist with Jack Parsons, the father of rocketry which is where NASA got its start. NASA has tried to write Parsons out of their beginning because he was into the occult, satanism and dark magic and it causes too many questions. There would not be NASA without Hubbard, Parsons, Disney and Wernher von Braun. https://thenewwworld.com/nasa

Bart Sibrel makes an extremely convincing case. I started looking into it a few years ago out of curiosity as I thought it absurd. However, in light of the scale of the edifice of lies we have been given an insight into these last few years, that the lies may indeed be beyond our wildest dreams, everything is on the table for me now. As Sibrel himself says: if the moon landing domino falls, it will likely be the keystone to bring the whole edifice down in a mass awakening more than any other potential rupture of our collective reality.

Someone's going to show that meme of what is claimed to be Neil Armstrong's spacesuit with flat-soled boots, followed by the ribbed footprint on the moon.

I just know it.

Ockham's Razor: Neil had more than one suit. Or that wasn't Neil's.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 5 ▼
– catsfive [S] 5 points 71 days ago +7 / -2

I hope not, frog.

Well, a few points. First off, Occam's razor doesn't state that among competing hypotheses, the "simplest one" is true, it states that the one with the fewest unsupported assumptions should be preferred. It emphasizes the importance of simplicity and parsimony when forming explanations or theories, and it is often used to guide scientific inquiry and decision-making.

Secondly, OH, MY GOD. Is that really what they think? They should look at Neil Armstrong's suit in the Smithsonian (Google it for yourself). You are CORRECT; THE BOOTS DO NOT HAVE THE RIBBED LINES UNDERNEATH, and, AND, you can find numerous photos of the woman prepping the suit for display. The boots, indeed, as you say, do not have the lines underneath, on the soles.

Psst. Know why?

Because the astronauts wore OVERSHOES (oversoles, or rubber fittings) on their shoes (basically like snowshoes, except, they were "moon dust" shoes). Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon. NASA engineers were worried that the lunar surface would be "powdery" and deep with dust, so, they made the astronauts wear ribbed sole overshoes to help the astronauts with traction on the moon's surface.

OMG, I had no idea the "muh fake moon landing" fuckwits had seized on this. Too funny. Thanks for leteting me know what they're "thinking".
