The father of modern gynecology thought there was nothing more disgusting than a woman's reproductive system. He pushed that woman were better off without their reproductive parts. A line of thought that still influences gynecology to this day.

He believed that women should have their uterus, ovaries and reproductive system removed as soon as they were done with them.

Rubin just seems like a continuation of this thinking.
