Yes I think the pull-out was a disaster. The article you posted was from 2021. The Taliban did not suddenly become peaceful. They are hunting down Americans and our allies that were left behind and torturing/killing them.
The child stuff I get, and I hope they are safe now. I'm not sure why anyone thinks that they will be since that is ingrained in their culture, but good luck to them. However leaving all that equipment so our enemies can have it, leaving our military working dogs to be killed, and leaving Americans and our loyal allies that in some cases worked hand-in-hand with us for over 20 years is unforgivable. It is also incredibly stupid and damaging to our national security. How will anyone ever work with us again?
I don't know how anyone can say the pullout wasn't a disaster. Trump left plans, they weren't followed. Military pulled out before the evacuations were even near done. We needed to leave and had a path lined up. Instead FJB and his merry bunch of dumbasses blew it.

Understand that every American citizen was given plenty of time in advance to escape Afghanistan.
Understand the importance of the Border Wall. That is, the border wall between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where terrorists regularly hop-scotched between (including Bin Laden).
Understand that events are taking place during Biden's admin that could not take place during Trump. Why? Optics. Trump could not survive it. The Media would have absolutely destroyed him.
Afghanistan had to fall.
Ukraine had to be invaded.
Taiwan, is going to fall.
