My friends recently said if the monetary system goes down they are driving to my home. A lot of people are depending on me prepping for this estimated 2 to 6 month period where we transition from the failed CBDC to barter and then finally to "white hat currency".
I am super curious to know the details of people's prepping strategies, specifically what are the most important items to buy if you have a strict budget.
I won't share everything but here is my list.
Food: I only have healthy organic food because I believe we have to be really healthy and sharp to make smart decisions in a time of emergency. We have beans, rice, oatmeal, dehydrated foods, and a massive collection of spices and salt, especially ones which medicinal value like ginger, turmeric and cacao powder. I figured spices will be a great bartering tool.
Defense: Guns and bullets, nothing complicated.
Health: a couple dozen home made natural ointments, topicals, dry medicines and herbs. The best natural painkiller in the world (kratom) and the most useful medicine in the world, hemp. Bandaids, bandages and that instantly stop bleeding stuff. Ivermectin is the only pharmaceutical I have and I only got it for barter, my natural options work better for me.
Bugout bag. Basic camping supplies. Food, water filter straws and water, enough to reach our bugout survival spot.
Financially: I keep a minimum amount of money in a credit union and I stack metals.
I can share more details if you guys have questions. I love hearing from as many different people as possible. I've already read the all those "essential prepping guides". I want to know how the most aware audience in the world is prepping.
This is why you don't tell ANYONE about your preps. You gave up the right to choose, and now it may come down to you shooting your "friends" to protect your own.
I only told my two best friends. Not everyone. I'm also debating whether that was a good move or not.
Cool. Now who have they told? Who will they tell when SHTF? It was a bad move so stop debating.
“Do you not know that God entrusted you with that money (all above what buys necessities for your families) to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to help the stranger, the widow, the fatherless; and, indeed, as far as it will go, to relieve the wants of all mankind? How can you, how dare you, defraud the Lord, by applying it to any other purpose?” John Wesley
Check.
Food: much the same with the addition of 8 hens a layin’
Defense: same
Health: emergency medical supplies - if you need stitches, I got ya. That should be a pretty effective way to make everyone very cautious of injury!! Plenty of clotting agent. We hunt and use chainsaws around here.
Bug out bag: packed and ready, but we live in an ideal spot for an emergency situation.
Financially: pretty much the same.
We also have people that will get to our home in case of catastrophe, and we have planned for them as well. Won’t be easy, but we also have the benefit of local Amish farmers. They know how to survive on little!
Thank you for the detailed reply! Our goal is to get hens as soon as possible! Hens makes perfect sense.
I think you’re wrong in my area. We will rely on them for advice and goods, and they will rely on us for protection. That’s community.
Any millionaires in GAW can buy a big piece of land in the woods and let us all camp there?
Travel trailer and homeschool curriculum. Library full of classics. Towing car well-maintaned.
Oh, right! Also, food, water, blah, blah. 🙃
Let's do this.
If peeps can get to us (pending how shtf scenario plays out). I've told family and friends my home is open.
(1.Have f all friends so don't see this as a problem, 2. I believe we need to work together).
My only rule is everyone steps up. I see it as we all have different abilities. Animals is my forte, gardening, well if I have some green thumb friends that would be great 😅🤦
What's the point of surviving a shtf if it occurs and being totally alone?
Anyway food and water stocks is a constant work in progress, so is attempting animals food stocks. Hens are great bug eaters, eggs and meat.
Defence is something I need to work on. (Thanks previous Aussies who farked up by handing in guns 💩😂).
Medical, totally support cannabis and essential oils, natural options. Peppermint is great rubbed on temples for headaches, and rubbed on arthritis pains mixed with eucalyptus. Peppermint and ginger tea for nausea.
I'd love to learn more regarding male dominant preps to be honest. How to store fuel, what I should stock up on for chainsaw spares etc. I'm not great in this department and fellow family ain't worried like I am.
I seen the writing on the wall early and sure enough stores are starting to get depleted on certain things with 5 -6 months ETAs if even accurate
