Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
DEVOUT CHRISTIANS i need your input-
how many of you believe that Man is inherently evil?
I don't and this has prevented me from being more involved in a church because this view is so common.
I think that's why I've felt so comfortable with Q from the start-
https://qalerts.app/?q=humanity+is+good
whatever you believe, may God bless you regardless.
Man was created good and perfect. He was created with various appetites or inclinations, such as the desiderative. which leads to desire, and others. When he sinned in the Garden of Eden, he sinned by using these appetites in the wrong way. This resulted in expulsion from the Garden. All men born after this have these same inclinations, and when they are misused, sin occurs. But man is not evil until he allows himself to sin and continues in sin. So, fren, if a church says that man is inherently evil, they aren't explaining it properly. Man can be either good or evil.
We have free will, and temptation is real, but it's always our choice to be what we want.
Man isn't evil, but it is ignorant and powerful and free.
Savour the moment, a man is what he does.
Inherently? No, but very capable of it.
First, I believe we are born in God's image and he's not evil! Just like a parent should be he's firm and doesn't want bad or evil behavior. I believe everyone is born innocent, not knowing or having the bad behavior in them. It's how we are influenced from birth that shapes how we turn out, evil or good. Even if you aren't religious, following any faith most people know right from wrong. You can say you don't but I wouldn't believe you. Only someone with a mental disorder would be the exception. As far as evil, I think some people choose to be evil because it's fun and easier than following rules. Most people like this usually start down the wrong path as teenagers due to who influenced them. In the past thirty years there's many influences other than parents or care giver. So many kids or young teens play violent video games that's way worse than any TV or movie I've ever seen, and I watch a lot of TV. However I watch violet movies/TV and am not evil. Things like Walking Dead, historical movies with fighting and war, etc might influence weaker people that haven't been exposed to good people. Hard to explain what I'm thinking on this subject, watching TV. I didn't grow up watching anything like this other than 70s westerns. I never shot a gun (except BB gun) till I was in my twenties. Even though I grew up in the south where hunting and guns are very common. I never had the desire. I was raised in church and have good influences of wrong and right. This is not an easy question to answer! So many children don't have a solid upbringing but that doesn't make all people evil.
Only wamans is inherently evil.
Adam was doing alright for himself until that fateful day God removed his rib.
i've taken many a dv for my sense of humor, hats off to you.
even though you're wrong, cuz bewbies.
Lol... But they are so cute... Who wouldn't take that apple? There was no other options!
We never stood a chance haha
Username checks out lmao ^_^
lol...
I think the "original sin" is a very twisted interpretation somewhere along the way with all the versions of the BIble. I am truly interested in understanding the correct interpretation. I think it has to do with accepting the responsibility of knowledge, but thats just a simple interpretation.
Also, I know everyone believes Jesus died to tone for the sins of humans, but I think the interpretation of that is also different.
We all know Jesus was crucified exactly because he exposed the money lenders in the temple - the root of all evil (even in our time, its the same Banksters).
We also know the only reason money can destroy humanity is because of our weaknesses - like greed.
So Jesus died to expose the evil of the money and our own inherent flaw in keep falling for the same evil again and again.
Its ironic that by twisting this into "died for the sin of man" without retaining the context, the message has been lost.
Still trying to wrap my head around all this but thanks fren. The part about the moneylenders is clear though, I'm embarrassed that I didn't know about that despite years of Sunday school.
Yep some secrets are really well kept. Imagine the systemic nature of this kind of censorship and what it takes to maintain it.
Incidentally, this is what Mel Gibson exposed in passion of the Christ and got cancelled for.

The SpaceX design process is a metaphor for the great awakening.
Interesting take. Care to elaborate, fren?
Oh yeah man!
Both keep trying til all of the problems are solved and stay positive til the job is done. SpaceX just celebrated what NASA would have considered a failure. But they have realistic expectations and long term, flexible goals. Now they have and will accomplish what NASA has done better, faster and cheaper. Accomplish more in fact.
We have 'celebrated failure' for years because we also have realistic and flexible goals. We know just a little more of the job is done every time and we've learned just a little more. But we have a roadmap that consistently verifies our progress. And we can't lose ultimately. We have the biggest white hat on our side.
I like it! Thanks for indulging me.
Welcome, fren. I must be in verbose mode today.
Epoch Times had a recipe for Lemon Curd (seems more like a custard, there's no milk involved) and then a Lemon Curd Pudding for Easter that used ladyfingers. Didn't find any then but came across some now, imported from Italy no less, so we're going to give it a go. Even if it comes out wrong, there's lemon and sugar and vodka (record scratch... oh, it's just a little). Anyone have any experience with this?

Just got the following PM, supposed to scare me:
Attn: u/Frankenglocken : 👉🏻 fuck you and your scare tactics.🤡💩
BTW: what can you expose that would be valuable at all: that I pray for people (but not for you) and know a bit about how we are being lied to? Most Frens abiding to this website rules (unlike you) have nothing to be embarassed about. Don’t you have better things to do with your life? You could sort your dirt, help older ladies (even trans if that’s what turns you on) cross the street, cleanup graffiti, plant vegetable, learn a valuable skill, look for needy people or animals and get to relieve them… But no, you’re just jerking of off your absurd obsession for us.
edit: Oh look: that retard’s back under another name:
So you gonna comment on his videos, do it multiple times so he may notice how important your matter is and he will diligently and publicly abide? Are you that stupid?
What a fag.
I get no scary pm's... I need to do more lol
Any advice on figuring out what to post and stuff?
Any advice is 🤗 welcome
I've received a few mean rude PMs recently. The rudest one took the cake. I had posted something about weight loss and poor health asking if you had been successful with weight loss any tips. The message from this jerk said, "If I was unhealthy and fat I should get off here. I wasn't of any use for Q, etc." I tried to report the user name but guess that function doesn't work. I blocked them and moved on. I took the message as if the world goes to shit kinda like in The Walking Dead you will die because you can't run. So I'm not useful here or in the world in the event of apocalypse. I'm not an idiot I know I need to get in shape. I don't have time for bots and stupid mean people. They aren't worth my energy.
Bonjour bonjour 🤗
How’s everyone today? The weather is rollercoastering these days: from 0 to 24 Celsius yesterday… (32-74 Fahrenheit).
Today is also Hitler’s birthday. I know it from the best Woody Allen movie: Crimes and Misdemeanors
I've always pointed that out to my stoner friends lol
If you mention you know it from a Woody Allen movie, noone can call you a Nazi.🤭
Yeah I never had a good answer to "how do you know that?"
Luckily I usually get a "you would know that" hahahaha
Great weather in the middle of the US. Just enough rain for our farmers and great garden starting weather. Onion sets and potatoes going in this week.
Stay strong frens. So many things moving in the right direction.
Good morning or afternoon to you. Weather is beautiful here. High of 87F in the south east US. Finally sleeping with just a sheet and thin quilt. Winter brings my body down! I'm so thankful for the heat!
I'm sure there's some people celebrating Hitler today. After all that's what why we are here trying to prevent that kind of world.
Good morning from the new world.
Past few days have been unseasonably warm here at 82F. Good for tomatoes, bad for lettuce.
Returning to a more normal 60F this weekend.
Stayed up too late last night working on a work puzzle (yawn) time to over-caffeinate. Oh- if the EU is going to stop selling coffee, does that mean more for the rest of us? If there's a significant price drop, I'm stocking up more!
Haven't heard this. Why would they stop coffee? We are living in strange times. I'm not a big coffee drinker, it has gone up in price just like everything.
There's a post about an EU vote to ban the sale of anything that "caused deforestation"
