There are card reader dongles for phones that allow for point of sale with a downloadable app. There's also services like Venmo. Person to person transactions will become more of a hassle, but tools will become more widespread to facilitate it. The privacy issue of course will be a great concern, every exchange is tracked and potentially taxable.
"They" will sell it as an amazing convenience and a technologically-advanced means of transacting busines, making gifts and keeping track of finances, but "they" will decide IF AND WHEN "they" will ALLOW you to conduct EVERY AND ANY TRANSACTION - most of which are NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS - BASED ON "THEIR" CRITERIA.
THAT IS NOT FREEDOM and should be RESISTED AT ALL COSTS.
Garage sales, tips, donations to musicians, and selling unwanted items.
It's just that everyone will be required to have a smart phone or a chip in order to do it, and it will be a dystopian nightmare with the government deciding which individuals are allowed to do the above.
The rest of it is all true however. Can you imagine having to tell your 6 year old that the tooth fair took his tooth and deposited money to his smart phone account? Who wants to live like that...
No more stashing your dollar bills for a rainy day.
No more saving up for secret gifts, getting away from abuse, tips, yard sales, Dave Ramsey style budgeting envelopes, small charity giving (like sending a buck with the kid to school so they can raise money for ...
Let me get this straight: It’s racist to require voter ID as many adults appear not to have access to ID, but they will digitize money and its expected that all humans have to pay for a personal cell phone and then also put a government money app on it. We are expected to pay for the device in which government will track and approve our spending? Wont many of those same people without access to ID also lack access to a tracking device?
So, no more garage sales?
Why even live.......
They will just put a chip in your hand, so you don't have the hassle of a wallet.
Isn't that nice.
Kek
Damn, I'm in trouble.
How will people pay for illegal transactions?
Yeah, because their aren't enough accounts hacked already by the Chinese.
I can see this idea going from super bad to a complete disastrous shit-show in a flash.

What happens when you don’t carry/use/have a tele-tracking device?
Yup.

You go to the grocery store:
"You've reached your allotment of meat for this month". "But you can buy 5 pounds of tarantulas or worms".
Some of this is not true. You can still have:
Garage sales, tips, donations to musicians, and selling unwanted items.
