2020 was not viewed favorably in South Korea. Only 6% of South Koreans thought we handled the coronavirus well. The popularity you mention was around 2018. It went down.
It's now back up. In 2022 South Korea had a 70/30 positive/negative view of the US president.
One of the most popular songs when I was a kid, as we could see the winds of change were not blowing in a good direction. JFK was killed in late 1963 and it was downhill from there. Graduated from hs late 70s - bad economy, graduated from college early 80s recession, with each buildup and downturn of the economy, corruption in govt grew. Still a great song for our time.
Lol. But still...the one and only remotely cool thing I've ever seen Biden involved with. Whatever the nuances, it was fun to hear it sung. His voice sounded good. Nostalgia for a greatly poignant song.
Remember the lyrics?
This will be the day that I die. This will be the day that I die.
Wow. And they just signed a deal to have nuclear weapons in South Korean ports on our submarines.
The Democrats and Leftists in the Twitter comment section think it’s a positive message. That’s the real tragedy.
??? Why is he trolling? Biden clearly knows what song is going to be sung. He asks for American Pie? He even gives him a guitar signed by Don McLean.
Why do you think South Korea would want to oppose the US?
You may think these things, but they actually do polling about this.

Cut it off right before the deep meaning would kick in,
"bye bye American pie"......
He knew what he was doing.
Can anyone remember another Don Maclean from that period? Think uk.
There is a lot Biden doesn’t know.
