The video seems to have been disabled. I did have a glance at Putin's speech a day or so ago but now that someone has hidden it I want to see it all!
So I found a transcript and I have to say I found it quite rivetting. There is an extensive Q&A session after the speeck and Putin fields all kinds of questions. I am about two-thirds of the way through that session.
Putin is asked about the situation with oil and gas, Nordstream, Afghanistan, EU energy policy, the Arctic etc. He also mentions how Russsian gas has far fewer emissions than other gas and is being sold for a quarter of the current spot price because they have long-term contracts. I wonder how many western leaders have anything like the same depth of knowledge and history.
I think there is climate change but, and it is a big but, what is causing it? Water is the biggest greenhouse gas and that is mainly natural. CO2, I think, is next but most of that is natural as well and we think it has been 15 to 20 times as bad in the past all without our help.
