I've thought this also, BUT if the lower-level rubes that depend on the 4:00 am talking points to set the narrative don't know that the head of the snake has been cut off, would they dare to step out of line? Probably not since they may not know who's really in charge and are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
I would think that right now they would be trying to run and hide if their comms went down. Like leave the phone, grab cash, get in an older vehicle and drive for their own bug out location.
An observation I've had in the last few days-week is that the rain has stopped... it's been very dry. Has the cloud seeding been cut off? Or, are [they] trying to dry the crops out to attack the food?
Maybe the middle-men have been rounded up? IDK.
We are so dry and blazing hot here in Northern IN. It's been weeks without rain, Temps all week in the upper 80s-90s (which we normally get like a week of that in July or Aug. But not this early. We had little spring rains as well and a dry winter. And the humidity is in the low teens, also abnormal.
We really need rain where I live in a rural area. The farmers just planted and…well, nothing in terms of spring rains. At all. Went to a local creek to hike today and it was really, really dry.

Extremely dry in the Midwest. We haven’t had rain in a couple of weeks and the forecast doesn’t show any rain for the next 10 days.
I believe I heard just yesterday 2 tenths to 4 tenths of an inch of rain for the month of May. And we usually get 4 inches!

We are way behind on rain in PA.
That's because it's falling in MD. It's June here and we haven't had to turn on ac even once. Our skies are filled with hashtags.
Can confirm. I was plnting in the garden today, and the soil is hard as cheap cement.
It hasn't stopped raining here in NC. But it's supposed to by Thursday.

most of these people don't have that kind of run-and-hide mind set - survival to them only includes causing others to suffer.
I truly hope they are terrified and have no clue what to do.
