Wilson was asshole. Hoover was asshole, ordered Mac to move the regular army against the Bonus army, and Mac did so with glee. Hoover ordered Mac not to cross the Anacostia River and Mac refused the order, entered the camp, set fire to tents. One infant died from tear gas, a small boy was bayoneted while trying to save his pet rabbit. Sauce: The General vs The President, H.W. Brands FDR was asshole. Truman was asshole.
