I know there are pedes here that think increasing the country's debt would hasten the day that the Fed goes bankrupt which they reason would be a good thing. I understand their sentiment but I also know that the longer this reality avoidance goes on, the worse the disruption to our economy when the SHTF. I think it wiser to just shut the government down and hold fast. Most of the important functions like seniors getting their SS payments and the military being operational doesn't change. What does change is it brings panicked Dems to the table where they need to face determined people representing actual taxpaying constituents sick of the waste, fraud and abuse.
I knew McCarthy didn't have the stones to do it but I'm really surprised at MTG and Jim Jordan being his allies. I always thought we should have picked Jordan as speaker but after this, I see it would have made no difference. The Uniparty gets what it wants. That fact is worse than anything else.

What are you expecting them to do? That's all congress can do, propose and vote on legislation, vote on impeachment, and subpoena people for testimony. The DoJ is who can charge people with crimes, not HoR.
Except they've been going after JJ with everything they could, trying a Kavanaugh on him. If he's been in their pocket I don't think those attacks would have been necessary.

Agreed, I've always been wary of MTG. I remember her trying to defend while she still held Pfizer stock on Timcast. Was a major red flag.
I don't think Bannon or anyone here has a clue why the budget was passed. If Bannon does know what is going on he is playing out his role to make the Democraps believe they won just as MTG and Jordan played out their role.
One day in the future (not to to distant I hope) we just might get a very clear picture of all the moves and countermoves and why the whitehats made those moves. If we don't it'll likely be because we lost.
In my opinion this is not a movie, it is a full on war complete with disception and clandestine moves that those on the outside looking in cannot see.

Bannon was one of Trump's early advisors when he took office. Bannon was forced out by pressure from the cabal's media and puppets. The media referred to him as Turmp's chief strategist, and painted him as radical right.

I don't like the passage of this bill, but Steve Bannon is not always right either. Nor do I like McCarthy. McCarthy is part of the DC machine. No question about it. One can ask if he is just another RINO or does he position himself between the RINOS and MAGA? Or both? Just know without Trump, McCarthy isn't Speaker. Without the MAGA-supporting group of GOP Reps, McCarthy is not Speaker. What deals were made for McCarthy to become Speaker? I wish Gaetz, Biggs, and others would tell us. It's seems all too quiet on this front. These are lawyers though... so I guarantee there was some kind of a deal cut. RINOS and Democrats (along with the DS) are firmly entrenched and run the government. The Senate is firmly in the hands of RINOS and Democrats. Then there is the outlaw Biden Administration with a very corrupt Garland/DOJ and FBI. In addition, there's the Intel Agencies, with the CIA leading the Black OPS. Lastly, there is the Legacy media that would cheer and propagandize anything Swampish. What would an impasse on the budget appear like to the American people? Who is the media going to blame? When the government shuts down and paychecks stop for government workers, retirees, and entire programs, who is going to have egg on their faces?
I'll say it again. I don't like it. Nor do I like McCarthy. I believe the democrats were trying to set up the republican-led House on this. It's a shitty deal....and it is obvious. The democrats and DS wouldn't want any better 'theater' to regain popularity with the American people to overshadow all of the Biden, DOJ, and FBI corruption.

The hard, cold fact of the matter is that we the people can, and must do better. Voting for "the lesser of two evils," or second best is not working, and has not worked for decades, and we simply need to do better. We need genuine hard-asses in office, not unreliable turkeys who just talk a good game.
I am not into the details but [having a degree of faith in a WH plan] I assume this is theatrical performance - Appear in disarray when observed Sun Tsu type strategy, and this applies to both sides in a sense - the dems pretend to be demented and the republicans pretend to take it all very seriously. While the great crowd kicks up a dust storm, there is real power somewhere acting to ensure, using hard power, that critical milestones are reached on cue.
Note: I am aware that faith in a WH plan appears to have no better evidence than a faith in a demonic plan. This is an ongoing risk we are all living with - there is only action - taking action - that can assuage that peril, and that is probably the entire point. Or maybe that's just the way this video game works.
