they are removing the API's ability to connect to third party apps... hmm...
could this be a quiet bot purge?
its being met with much resistance over there... although I don't know much about reddit and don't even have an account there, so i could be wrong
Nope. Unless the bots are deepstate, their creators aren't paying $12,000 for every 50 million API calls.
Remindme! bot and many others are going to go bye bye.
...wonder what's going on behind the scenes financially... are there any lawsuits pending?
Seems like a desperate gamble to rake in what you can while you can...
Yeah for Reddit I still want to know why they whacked the original co founder. Or did he go into witness protection. It was like 2014. No telling what’s going on now
He was snooping around in MIT server rooms to rip scientific papers for free distribution.
Very possible he came across Epstein/Gates evidence.
I did read one poster say, that he would have to cut back on posting because he could only use his desktop to post. It was on one of the silver boards, I only go to the silver and stonk boards.
In fact, as I mentioned in another reply, this is going to kill bots that use the API to perform such tasks as spell checking and even the famous Remind Me! bot.
As an example, here's a bot that all it does is check for misspelling of the word "Privilege"-
https://old.reddit.com/user/SpellCheck_Privilege
Funny part is it's going to also stop mods from autobanning people who subscribe to /r/conservative, etc.
Reddit might become fun very quickly once comments aren't autopurged for containing certain key words, etc.
