The airframe of a modern aircraft is one of the strongest, most resilient pieces of human engineering on the planet. If this is indeed the wreckage of a Cessna, it was shot down by an air-to-air missile. I can't see a scenario where this is all that's left of the plane after a crash given the resiliency of a modern airframe.
I view these photos are highly suspect, although I would welcome any planefags to comment and correct me here if my suspicions are off the mark.
On the possibly dangerous assumption that this story is bullshit, what's the real story? I must confess, I have no idea what they're hiding here. But this story smells like a cover up.

The airframe of a modern aircraft is one of the strongest, most resilient pieces of human engineering on the planet, just like a full beer can.
Woah woah woah, I didn't say airframes are THAT strong.
