Do you think that the The TV Parental Guidelines Monitoring Board needs to review their content criteria for parental content rating for children's television programming and come up with content descriptors or use higher level content ratings when an episode of a children's television show contains gender identity references or introduces transgender ideologies? Honestly, I think any children's television show with a content rating of TV-Y7 or lower should never have any sexual or transgender references. This sort of content should be rated TV-14 at minimum with the preferred rating being TV-MA.

Good point. Problem is, many of the commercial are also pretty raunchy.
Pushing Erectile Dysfunction, Dry Vagina, heavy flow pads & tampons. Where does it stop?
Most of those terms above would make me curious and want to figure out what it was all about as a preteen. Now their phone or a simple google search will inundate young kids with images and text they aren't ready for.
and the commercials for std medications
My boys are adults. To be perfectly honest, they weren't allowed in front of a TV. They played outside until dinner was ready. As far as the rating system, I think it's a joke.
I think the rating system is pretty much a joke...I believe the real threat is the phones and the I-Pads that children are given unlimited access to as a babysitter. I agree...just don't allow TV or electronics and the kids will actually find something interesting to do...and hopefully that would include a lot of outside time....
I don't have kids. This is more of a general discussion.
Yes.
However, I vet everything my child watches. And he doesn't get to watch much TV.
This. Oldest is 7 and they are pushing lgbt books on amazon prime kids right now. Disgusting shit.
"Boycott".. Divorce yourselves really, from Amazon. We've proven that Boycott/Divorces have an impact. Use your wallet in line with your principles.
Note: just a generalized rant.. not directed at you, throwawayforyou. Just seeing Amazon got me going..lol
I really want to...I will try to reduce our spending there. Its tough though with the prices and convenience, which Im sure they are aware of..
For sure! Just the shipping costs elsewhere are so high for me. It's helped me save money though. I've kind of made it a personal challenge to myself to see what I can make do without. Lol
Again, not directed at you, but I'm with ya! 🙂
First, we don't have cable nor TV. We do have internet and screen time is very narrow and completely monitored. YouTube kids is more dangerous than regular YT. We do not rely on corrupt government agencies for viewing choices, we go to established, accurate, reliable Christian sites if needed. We usually don't watch anything made within the last 10 years, often older.

Pick any program that is offensive and let's start sending them something to think about! Need to start somewhere. Internet is another issue and requires parental controls. commercials are a joke and many times disgusting-- a good point made by What-me-worry
I wouldn’t rely on any government agency because they’re all converged. Find a Christian reviewer you can trust.
Boycott PBS.
