The jury is still out for me on MTG. However, there have been times when our Samsung TV will just spontaneously turn on after we’ve turned it off. We’ll be sleeping and all of a sudden it will turn on in the middle of the night. Perhaps everybody that has a smart TV should unplug it instead of just turning it off.
Amish survive without electricity, let alone t.v. Some do use cell phones to conduct business and I assume charge via battery, solar power or a generator.

December 31, 2010 for me.
Missed it for less than a week. Discovered I had much and more to do around the house.
Moved into this house in December 2015. Never got cable hooked up. Or even basic television for that matter. Don't even miss it.
