Getting into journalism today is probably like many jobs that have lowered their standards. Thirty five years ago you couldn't get a full time job at UPS unless you worked part time sorting and loading trucks (at night) for several years. Today most people delivering UPS are very young. Nothing wrong with that but you can skip the paying your dues part. It was nearly impossible to get a job as a state trooper and you had to move across the state. Now they let about anyone in as a trooper and you can live local. Same with USPS, no explanation needed we know how bad that's gotten in the last decade.
Overall not bad, but this one line from the article was a great example of just how far journalism has fallen:
Makes me think of ladies at a hair salon gossiping.
