I always have to say, whenever I see this, as someone who was researching pizzagate on the chans for months before Q joined us and followed this from day one. We most certainly did refer to him as Qanon, and I never understood this post.
But it was always just "Q" for those of us who were with Q since the beginning. We NEVER called Q "Qanon". That doesn't even make sense. Q is a group of people, ten, to be exact.
Not more than ten*
I think the Q post said "less than 10, 6 military and 3 civilian"......they spelled it out exactly for us. Nine people.
I agree with you. I also agree that other people back then did refer to Q as "Qanon" but it wasn't correct then either, even if that's what they said. Q was Q. Qanon then became a twitter hashtag, which makes sense, but nobody who interacted with Q on the chans ever referred to Q directly as Qanon. "Qanon" was always either for hashtag purposes or a mislabeling. The fact that Q made an actual post confirming the proper terminology, should have settled it, but here we are.
Edit: Since there seems to be so much confusion, I will just stick with post 4881, listed above, where Q addresses the issue about as clearly as Q has ever addressed any topic.
"nobody who interacted with Q on the chans ever referred to Q directly as Qanon"
that's just not true, you can see others in this thread confirming what I'm saying, which makes your statement impossible to be true
but I'm a little tired of this argument, it's not important
You weren't there then.
Just posting this correction since this will be seen by new people

this specifically says less than 10
I’m screwing up when trying to embed a q post, my bad
Some folks try to deny that, but those of us who were there knew it. In fact, 'qanon' was the very phrase / term many q patriots used to connect with each other in spaces outside of the chans and the core forums of reddit (pre-au8gust 2018), voat, etc.
This post came in October of 2020. That's virtually 3 years in to the operation, and also a few months prior to the end of the regular posting by Q (Dec 2020). I think Q realized that they need to clarify this point, as the Deep State propaganda machine (aka mainstream media) had hijacked the expression, and used it to mean something completely different from what anons had been using it as.
The distinction between the Q drops themselves and the varied, diverse and sometimes infiltrated theories and interpretations etc, put out by anons became important. What better way to emphasize that distinction than the content in this qdrop?
We could make a list of things that are not of Q, but which became, for certain periods of time, wrongly associated with Q due to the efforts of mainstream media.
The recent articles by various sources about the "Qanon cult leader" are a good example.
Wait Fract…… so do I need to take the Q out of the gold plated box I have with candles around it and put away the little Mr. Bill doll with the Q on a gold chain sitting on top, in front of my Q-Flame poster, all in front of the stringed map of all the Q-Posts attrached to connected Q articles, and send the Q-priestesses home? But but…. Kek!
Yes, yes... no .... yes, yes, no.
hth :D
Bang on, exactly right. Golden buzzer comment.
THIS
This. I was corrected yesterday on my first post here for the terminology I used, but I've seen many terms used from the very start. I understand the optics of separating 'Q' and 'anons' but it wasn't initially a thing and people continued to refer to both
Yes welcome. U will quickly start to realize , after some digging, of how absolute low IQ, Braindead most of society is., and it can feel lonely at times, but just know. We ARE NOT some fringe corner on the internet!
oh I've been around a while, since the pizzagate and then early Q posts on pol. I've lurked for a long time and I've got friends who were more actively a part of the community, I just finally bit the bullet and made an account here.
welcome to the board fren
it's frustrating when people get so hung up on this one
glad you found us
"QAnon" was more of a hashtag to make discussions regarding Q on Twitter more visible rather than just using the letter Q. It's structured differently than the chans, so finding such discussions needed a #QAnon hashtag to make it easier for each other to communicate. That said, "QAnon" quickly became anything that anybody in the movement could say and have it stick to Q, despite the Q team never saying such things. "Suicide weekend" could mean a number of things. Q never said what it was. Perhaps Hunter kills himself some weekend and it sets off a sequence of events? Does Biden? Who knows? But somehow it became a "QAnon" thing that "suicide weekend" somehow became mandatory to believe that thousands of people will just kill themselves one weekend all at once, somehow. ORLY? Or that "you are watching a movie" must somehow mean that Trump somehow controls every single frickin' world leader in the whole world and that somehow they are playing their parts as an orchestrated story. ORLY? That same guy also claimed that the Saudi sword dance was some super-duper special ceremony that relinquished control of KSA from the Saudi Royal Family to Trump. No, I have a Saudi friend who lives in KSA who tells me that it's a traditional folk dance of greeting people, and even translated the lyrics into English for me.
But if I point out these leaps of logic, people might vote my comments down, because "muh QAnon" groupthink has already decided otherwise. While it's cool to think that JFK Jr. might possibly be still alive and I've seen compelling arguments for that position, it's not my hill to die on. But that sort of conversation could be had with a #QAnon hashtag, yet it never came from the Q team themselves. Q never said "Hi, I'm QAnon." But that's what the media would have people believe.
oh I've lurked for a long time, on and off, now and then. I'm just convinced the Sound of Freedom is IT, the big one thing that kicks off the mass awakening and I had to reach out and start being part of this.
I remember seeing a picture of Qanon painted on a wall in another country (Argentina?) for a Qpost. Maybe there were no problems with it at first, but then as this post says, they injected bad actors as anons and tried to attack through the media.
Near Barcelona.
So that explains it. I was always wondering why, after a while, Qanon become verboten.
Dumb that it should be so. Was a great hashtag. I trust q team had their reasons but I still use the term qanon in conversation with people. fuck it, there are bigger issues at hand to worry about.
