And the Culture novels of Iain M. Banks, Consider Phlebas for instance.

There was a segment of this that said the Culture developed ultra small cameras but they didn't work because of brownian motion, all the pictures were blurred.

A favourite of Elon Musk, he named his rockets after Culture starships.
