Oh they have shame alright. A key sign of toxicity in people in those who don't acknowledge their shame = no accountability for their actions. It's cowardice to their own self, which equals cowardice to others. They can't stand being wrong, and that's where the 'no shame' comes from. Cowards, ever last one of them. Cowards always get what they ask for.
Very true. Egos are one of the main blockages between progress of the 'covid mentality' and rational thought. It's become the classic lefty response, simply don't acknowledge and it didn't happen. Oftentimes the questions I pose to people I tell them, I don't expect or even want to hear your answer, I just want you to answer it for yourself Truthfully. It's one of the main differences between what is called a 'conspiracy theorist' and normies of all suits, we're unconcerned with whether we get it wrong, we simply dig for the Truth because it isn't spoon-fed so we have to look for it. Our material is fairly fringe in normies lives, and they're actually interested too...but their egos can't afford to let them think people will know if they ended up wrong. I really don't care what people with a skewed view of reality think. About anything.
I can assure you that in my wife's case it's not ego. She is completely and intentionally blind to all evil. She can not believe that any government or medical body would lie. It's simply impossible for her to conceive it. She happily repeats the "conspiracy theory" mantra. She thinks that all doctors care about the patient's welfare. She is OBLIVIOUS and I can't say anything to wake her. She doesn't WANT to know.
But I'll be here to support here when finally the light comes on.
So PLEASE go easy on the totally brainwashed innocents. My wife, for example, is in the top 2% educationally; she is extremely intelligent and a kind person. But she worked in hospitals all her life.
People like her -- doctors and nurses -- are not kind; they are arrogant.
They believe that what they were taught in medical school or nursing school was (a) the truth and (b) important about health care. If they were taught it in their school, it was both true and important. If it was not taught in their school, it is not true or not important.
This is arrogance, not kindness.
Their arrogant attitudes are confirmed by each other (confirmation bias) on a daily basis, as they spend most of their waking hours around others with the same beliefs and arrogance. But, of course, like so many people, they are blind to their own arrogance and think of it instead as heroism.
These people are a problem for society. They are not critical thinkers. Intelligent enough to remember things so they can pass a test, yes. But not willing to ask if what they were taught was true.
North Korea is full of such people, no doubt. But that does not make for a healthy society.
I realize it is your wife, so that is a tough situation. But in general, we should not be coddling these people. We should be challenging them and confronting them with their own refusal to think.
They want life to be easy and full of sugarplums and fairytales. But that attitude causes serious problems when true evil takes advantage of such a society.
Does she know about Stalin and what he did to his citizens? Or all the other times in history that governments have killed their own people? Ppl who choose to ignore things aren’t innocent, they are complicit bc they think life is easier that way
