It's not fringe to point out that certain technologies exist, and could've possibly been used. Either way, it was a clearing of heritage owned property and the resultant effects are worth discussing.
I am sure that it's harmless to discuss technologies that exist, like that comment of yours you linked. There are also discussions of various energy technologies that are also harmless, yet, informative or curiosity-inducing
Again, the continuing conversation remains as to be (if the damage on Maui was intentional) why it was done and to what end.
Totally agree. That's what we call a "mod material" reply. The mods are trying to accommodate everyone's desire to discuss the Maui situation, but keep GAW focused on its mission (according to the sidebar).
Please don't hesitate to share with us any comments or thoughts that could help us best serve this mission, either here or in modmail.
I think it would be wise to sticky the DEW quarantine post you put in the stickied comment for this thread, possibly for several days. Otherwise people are going to be banned / timedout and not understand why, which is not a good feeling especially when people are excited to learn/research that particular subject
It's odd when you come to a corner of the internet that prides itself on freedom of thought only to be in told how to think about certain subjects. Not only how to think but also belittle you in the process.
Ultimately the only change that occurs is damage to the community. In the grand scheme of things it seems some folks just want to have dogmatic control over alleged objective views on certain subjects. 911, DEWs im sure there's more but when it happens it's always done is such a childish way that it's ineffective in changing anyone's mind and reeks of ego when posts get stickied, and opposite posts do not get stickied.
To threaten banning would be doing those who value true freedom of thought a favor. There has to be more sites like how voat used to be, I'll take rancid language and freedom of thought compares to limited freedom of thought.
Ultimately, like politics the users hold the ultimate power. The reason I come back to this site is because it's a cohesive unit of independent perspectives who work together and don't shit on each others views who can discuss current events and wargame out potential motives and futures. I don't come here to abide by the dogma of others, but I do come here to listen to others perspectives because that's the magic of this place. To close off our ideas is to lead us down even more linear paths and that's what the enemy does.
One of my most prized thoughts is "we will have to agree to disagree" because I feel often throughout your life you will meet folks with a different view from yours and it won't necessarily be wrong either.

Do you get a hard on from censoring people with extremely valid questions? You’re the worst
Censorship even on this site. Just wow.
