This gets an econ collapse tag? Why the doom?
This is the longest time in 50 years we've had unemployment under 4%.
This seems like garbage even for ZH.
It's the same folks who put out unemployment numbers under Trump. It's the same BLS.
Unemployment was 3.5% last month. It's 3.8 this month
That seems like a big deal. But we added 187K jobs. If we had a job, how did the unemployment rate go up
The answer is the labor force rose by 736k which is good.
We had a 700K jump last August too.
Lot of this is young folks going back to looking for a job after summer.
The point was that it's not 187k.
Every single month this year has been downgraded after the fact. They tell you "200k jump" and then two months later it turns out it was like 100k in reality
