That's not DEW. That's overloaded electric wiring. I have hears that what they can do with the newer meters and control panels is that the power company can send to much to any given house or line of service to cause the words to overheat, catch fire.
A DEE would have burned a whole through the entire roof in a line IMO.

I believe this is likely the case. There doesn't appear to be a matching burn line on the rooftop for a dew.
Looks like that's a steel beam that probably extends above the wood ceiling and contained the fire to the single bay.
