Michael C Kerr was the speaker of the 44th congress not the 44th speaker. If we follow the same numbering then Mike Johnson is the 118th.

If you count straight down the list the 44th speaker is in the 1930’s if you count unique individuals then the 44th speaker was Joseph Martin in 1947 and 1953.
