What about the most popular video games?
Nothing but violence....
I used to be anti all censorship in 'entertainment'. But I look at modern TV, movies and games, with the unbridled, unfettered sex, gore and eff every other word, and it really does make me think how the plan all along for 'HOME entertainment' was to have it invade the home space with incessant rape and elision of our sense and sensibilities.
My childhood years brought me the classics like Popeye, Tom & Jerry, Roadrunner, etc.
Yet to this day I don't run around with a can of spinach in my pocket and a stick of Acme TNT in my hand looking to whack a cat, abduct a skinny female, or blow up a chaparral bird....
...although I do hold up signs instead of speaking sometimes & fall off cliffs with no repercussions.🐸
"POOF"....
Same. TV was the early version of being able to talk to you and your kids IN your home. Cell phones now allow unfettered access to your kids. Scary stuff.
With the invention of streaming services you can literally decide everything that comes into your home. Takes a little work, but censoring everyone else to fit your personal preferences isn't the answer.
Agreed. But were it not for the Blackrock/State Street/Vanguard monopoly and their ESG bullshit, the market would drive the content we see, rather than devious propandandizers. Censorship isn't the answer. Ending foreign involvement in our stock market and elections, not allowing politicians to invest in industries they favor via their legislation, and having sound, debt-free money with a clear, consistent way to deal with monopolies is the answer.
