That’s a possibility also. Viewed from an autistic lens (a compliment) perhaps a likelihood.
The only thing is that I doubt very many anons are looking for comms let alone ulterior motives in posts of some random anon posting about a thought-provoking - or, in this case, emotion-provoking - topic. In fact, most of us probably like a break from being submerged in witnessing evil all day, discussing it, analyzing it, seeking out the evil tendrils by researching and diving into rabbit holes, etc., and just like to feel like a free, thinking human connecting with other good people in the honest exchange of ideas periodically. I suppose that’s why the GC became almost instantly popular.
This particular OP isn’t the only anon trying to test us and comms awareness isn’t the only testing being done on this board. There’s the obvious doomers, some of which I’m sure are just BH shills trying to get people depressed, but others may be trying to gauge the resiliency of spirit. The bullies, of course, have degraded the board or perhaps they view it as weeding out “the weak”. I’ve personally seen some very fine, intelligent anons leave here for good because of the actions of a couple of the regular bullies. These people were good people, not weak, but perhaps erroneously believing that everything here is above-board. And there are other types of testing and manipulation occurring. The games, the tests, they’re tiresome.
Personally, escapegoat, I’m a very old soul, here to educate myself and grow, perhaps harden my defenses, so to speak, contribute where I can and otherwise consider myself a guest here. It does make me fervently hope that there will be no game-playing in heaven (assuming, God willing, He gives me the grace to join Him there after this earthly journey), no double-speak, no hidden codes, etc - just free and open, honest synchronization with other kind souls.
To answer your original question, technically-speaking, one can post and comment away and then delete those posts and comments - and the counts (aka accrued karma) will continue to rise as earned participation points. But then I’m guessing that you already know that.
