"Far too many of our fellows have demonstrated that they are more than willing to live secure in submission rather than take risks and be free. It is up to us to throw off the mantle of captivity and fight for our God-given freedoms."
What was it the ancient Israelites told Moses in the desert? Something like “…we miss the flesh pots, and all the good spices that we had with our captors, the Egyptians…”
You are so right...I truly believe that is human nature...to desire the comfort of familiarity no matter how detrimental the effect of the enslavement...
Not to be a complete ass, but what does he mean by that?
Fighting back has many risks...we see it every day...people are unjustly accused, imprisoned, destroyed and even killed...all because they take the risk to fight the establishment that enslaves us. When we are tired enough and have truly had enough we will have no choice but to seek our freedom no matter the risk...
I was more asking what actions constitutes as "taking risks"?
I would say anything that disrupts the "status quo"...something like taxes affects us all, but other enslavements affect only a portion of the population with families...say education. So the question is what to do, how to do it and when to do it...the author of the article maintains it is when we are tired enough and have no choice. I hope you read the article to understand the point the author is making...I surely can't speak for the author but I KNOW people are tired...they have been pushed to the brink...
