Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Fem frens- do you think you are more attuned to the spiritual better than guys? I have been told by more than one woman that they can feel just how strong the evil currents are pushing lately. And that they can feel prayer pushing back. I believed them. I think the dehumanizing evil of the world is being rolled back and it's going to be a huge adjustment. I just get the feeling that i can barely detect what's truly going on.
My experience is that for every man I have met who is deeply spiritual, there are 4 women who apply it daily to their lives and outlooks. In traditional roles, women have more contact with the fundamental sacredness, and if they are seeking God, they can apply their everyday lives along with the sacred. Giving birth, raising children, keeping the home as a refuge for family, cooking, feeding, tending to sick family. Men, unless they are homesteaders or farmers, are removed from the natural world and must deal with the un Godliness of life, and are faced with temptations in that life. It is hard to maintain a contemplative attitude when dealing with business, finances, war, the worldly opinions about success. To love God above all things requires submission and Faith in what is unseen. The peer pressure that men face is just as toxic as teen age girls in middle school. The "locker room" mentality takes a true warrior to rise above it. I would say that within a religious community it is different, but most of us do not belong to that. A committed man who walks with Jesus in his heart and mind must deal with secular life more than women.
I would agree, and generally speaking we men are afraid to ask for help until the battle line is directly on us or around us. I believe more people receive the nudge from God for salvation, and other things, because of a praying mama/g-ma
