She was in the hospital 9 days for cardiac arrest and they were feeding her cheeseburgers???
Hmmmm......
My dad had a massive stroke and nearly died.. While in the hospital, they served him grilled cheese and french fries for dinner the next day when his blood pressure was still through the roof. My mom, a licensed nutritionist, flipped out at the staff and had them serve him grilled chicken with no salt and mixed veggies. She regimented closely his diet at the hospital for the next two weeks.
I'm not sure the hospital saved him or made him any better. In fact, they said it was a minor stroke at first and they 'removed the clot' and he should make a full recovery. The next day, it was 'he has massive bleeding in the brain' and he will never walk or talk again and he might die.
Anyway.. I'm going to go play golf with him first thing tomorrow morning.
Praise God ! Thank you for that beautiful heartfelt ending to your messsge ! Was so good to hear a happy ending! Give your dad a hug for me and tell him making it out of the hospital is better then being called a scratch golfer !
checks out. hospitals suck. seen plenty with an in-house fast food joint.
San Diego childrens hospital has a McDonald’s inside. I had to pick up a neighbor and her daughter once and couldn’t believe it ,, lines , long lines! Gotta keep those kids sick !
cool. good example of why its better to focus on the spiritual than the carnal. there is much more to life than meets the eye from this perspective.
Ya know, I started reading this story and I had to stop. When it got to the part of the Grand Mal seizure it made me begin to cry. I've had a Grand Mal seizure in the middle of the night, when I woke up I clearly remembering seeing a police officer standing in the doorway of my bedroom. WTF!!!! was the first thought when I saw him....."What did I do wrong to warrant a cop coming into my house?" Then I felt a hand on my chest vigorously rubbing it and someone calling my name and saying "Wake UP!". What had happened????? Never in my life had I experienced anything like that. Now, out of nowhere I had a seizure that would change my life. Ugh. I woke up from that experience and had a pleasant rest of the day, but in the following months I'd have more seizures. One so bad that it permanently took away my memories. How horrible it was that I had trouble trying to vocalize words I clearly saw in my head but the neural pathways from that image to my mouth were not working properly and I couldn't speak the word. Then on top of that I couldn't remember things, the wife's birthday, my kid's birthday,...dates in general were gone. Vast swaths of memory were wiped out in the blink of an eye. But the one strange thing was that at the time I was going through this I was building my new house, by myself with the help from my wife and kid. All my neighbors would say things like "Wow, you are doing such a great job". But little did they know I couldn't even remember their names. Odd how the brain works, but here a couple of years later I'm sitting in my house yet I cannot remember any of the building of it. I knew how to build it but not from where the technical abilities came from. I know I've never built a house in the past, but I just knew I could build it without any memories.
Maybe I'll go back and try to read the article again, but I doubt it. After my seizure I've become very emotional. I can see a butterfly and begin to cry. Don't know why this is but it's just the fact that I have to live with. Hope you all have a great day.
