Yay. Winning.
It's good to see this going against Disney. Because whatever "The mouse" says it's going to do next, was the thing that people, who resided in Central Florida, have supported for decades. It's a good time now, to question the motives of Disney.
I heard Disney is owned by England, anyone have sauce on that?
Per goggle:
The top shareholders of Disney are Robert A. Iger, Christine M. McCarthy, Vanguard Group Inc., BlackRock Inc. (BLK), and State Street Corp. (STT).
Interesting note:
Disney originally started licensing its products and characters for use in China in the early 1980s, he noted. The company went on to build two theme parks in partnership with the Chinese government and find success at the box office with major tentpoles.
Do shareholders know that The Walt Disney Company is engaged in a joint venture with the Chinese Communist Party that allows for the operation of the Shanghai Disney Resort? And it's not an equal split, by the way. Instead, the CCP has 57% ownership while Disney holds only 43% ownership.Mar 31, 2023
Interesting, thank you.
