I remember watching this when it happened. I knew then that things were happening. Basically they took all the Special Forces (Groups) out of the Pentagon and put them under a separate command. You have to keep in mind that the Groups aren't just pipe hitters (operators) they are also comprised of a lot of INTEL attachments. Also remember that JFK created the SEAL teams under his watch.
