I would think there should be a greater penalty for the college than letting the young man re-enroll without any kind of admission of liability. They at least admitted they violated his rights under the First & Fourteenth amendments. I hope they paid a shit-ton of legal fees to an attorney to defend themselves. If there's no price to pay for such actions, there's nothing to keep them from doing it again.
Better yet, their enrollment should drop and then the administrators who defend such crap should cease to have jobs.
Universities and colleges have become cesspools. They have now initiated their own destruction by becoming what they have become. May they rot totally and become the nutrient rich soil that a true and worthy higher education system will be grown in--one that fully remembers and objectively comprehends the reasons for the demise of its predecessor and acts accordingly, honoring the great responsibility that teachers and professors have to raise up the minds of those they teach, not defile them. Those who mislead children and young people will find out the karma they have taken on and will be astonished to see how long they will be paying back that debt.
I hope the states take back education. It will be amazing to see competition between states. You know the shitholes blue states will be all clear out or they will all turn red.
Your daily reminder that the very first part of the First Amendment and the first right named in the Bill of Rights is the right of the People to the free exercise of religion. In the same breath, establishment of a state religion is expressly forbidden. This is tremendous statecraft: no one can be PREVENTED from exercising their religion in the time, manner and place of their choosing; and no one can have religion FORCED on them either.
The Constitution does not permit any infringements, hindrances or encumbrances on that freedom of expression (or any other, for that matter).
What I went through here in NJ with Rowan University vs my children I'll never forgive or forget.
During covid they were forced to study from home unless they got vaccinated. They were also forced to give up their apartments on campus that we had already put security deposits on, to immigrants on the wait list.
Immigrants were allowed to be in the classroom even if they weren't vaccinated by utilizing the 6 ft distancing myth.
All this and they still charged nearly full tuition, without delay of course.

Founding fathers are smart. Just enforce that and we will be fine.
