Your daily reminder that the very first part of the First Amendment and the first right named in the Bill of Rights is the right of the People to the free exercise of religion. In the same breath, establishment of a state religion is expressly forbidden. This is tremendous statecraft: no one can be PREVENTED from exercising their religion in the time, manner and place of their choosing; and no one can have religion FORCED on them either.
The Constitution does not permit any infringements, hindrances or encumbrances on that freedom of expression (or any other, for that matter).
