Bingo. My German is rudimentary, and mostly forgotten, but I know enough and I remember my grammar well enough that with a dictionary, I want to read an original German copy and compare it to a more modern translation. I bet they'd be very different.
I don't think the people did but Mein Kampf is pretty clear in saying its what Hitler wanted. soooo I'm not letting Hitler off the hook.

Most point towards the “Stalag” edition being the only ever complete and authorized English translation without alterations.
