Doesn't he claim Russian Orthodox as his religion? If so he may well be a true Christian. I know some of their theology isn't the greatest. I know converted catholics and Amish as well even though as a whole most in those groups would deny Salvation thru Christ alone. But most mainstream denominations in the west have also forsaken Christ and His inerrant Word.
