I can see city dwellers who care more about showing off their new EVs to friends, as they sit in the parking lot for hours charging, being fine with the whole problem that fully electric vehicles represents.
But for truck owners who want to load up and get sh!t done? They don't have time or desire to sit around and wait for charges all day long.
you are spot on MAGA, not one person in my area can afford to have their trucks sitting around charging all day. in my area, we use our trucks for everything. beat all to hell but run, run, run they do!
The American pickup truck is truly one of the best universal vehicles ever conceived. They can WORK hard and PLAY hard. But, only if they can move! Sitting at a charging station defeats the whole purpose!
Oh, and try trailering cross-country with an electric vehicle. Not going to happen.
There's something really weird going on with Ford.. I have been buying a few F150's a year since starting my company and this is the first year I have seen them delay this long on the new model year. You cannot buy a 2024 F150 yet..
Different industry here, but we've had wave after wave of sudden purging of vendors from the far east... Wonder if there's a supply chain issue, like for chips or batteries?
Demand is plummeting across the industry.
yes, between people not wanting those damn useless electric trucks to the price of them and then to paying for them, it's all down hill.
Is that the totally gay electric truck?
Well, the totally gay one was the Rainbow-Painted Raptor Ford rolled out, but yes, compared to a gas or diesel, it is the one.
Yikes.
It makes a nice portable backup battery.
And yeah, the "safety" issue has to be a face saving move to protect sales of the remaining inventory.
On the safety side, maybe somebody remembered the Pinto.
On the demand side, maybe somebody remembered the Edsel.
Great examples of each!
I am thinking this is an Edsel problem.

What a joke!

Can you imagine they scrapped all those Edsels. If they had inventoried them in the Desert somewhere, they could make a killing selling them now..
Patina matters. It would be glorious. :)
Well they were selling it here for more than 140K I can't imagine why no one would want to buy one it is baffling.

🤔 That is very interesting.

Weighs @ 6,500 lbs & prices start @ $69k. I love it when this crap fails.
