Here's another theory about the "Pride Flag".

Before the State of Israel was started there was already a Jewish state of sorts. It was called the Jewish Autonomous Oblast.

Imagine if a pseudo nation-state started putting their flag on the buildings of other nations. One would think that nation was captured by the other.

This is the flag of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast.
