π Its fucking insane the level of complete incompetence we have to deal with here in SA... Somehow 'they' will still find a way to blame it on 'Apartheid' and the white man...If I/We don't laugh about it id be a fucking mess...Its CRAZY...
Well, let me put it like this... When the ANC Commie Government took control in 1994, They inherited a Perfectly working Infrastructure...What these Geniuses decided was to replace ALL whites in Government Run Institutions,,, Power utility, Water/Sanitation infrastructure, Railways, Ports, Teachers, Engineers, Military, Police etc... Everyone with 'historical knowledge' of these diverse portfolios were retrenched and replaced with the ANC's choice of their Own people...Problem is NOONE they put in is/was Qualified AT ALL !! Just The Governing party deploying its 'loyal cadres'....
Its Only taken 30 Years to destroy an Entire Nations infrastructure which took 300 years to build up...
But Hey, "Democracy" and the Evil white man....
Pretty much the same that happened here in Venezuela. The Chavistas replaced the "capitalists" with their party members and voila, weΒ΄re turned from the richest country in South America to a shithole, as Trump would call it.
Exactly...Its fucking terrible...The ONLY ones getting richer by the day at the expense of the people...People In Government and their Greedy fucking corrupt cronies...
I have a theory about the correlation of cannibal societies and the eruption of corruption and cronyism in their modern governments. It's just the selfish, greedy, vindictive swine aspect that connects the behavior patterns.
However, after witnessing Ukraine's debacle, I am not so sure. Corruption and Nepotism seem to be more than just a bad managerial style. Human nature? Not everybody is like that though. Sociopathy? Narcissism? Who knows. I wish there was a DNA test for that. but alas.
One should look for ways to combat the corruption, however. There is the implementation of software in government workplaces, which has a curious levelling effect upon managerial hierarchies, and necessarily introduces a need for competence. The funny thing is that local governments (who are supposed to look after infrastructure) will make the switch to software for budgetary reasons, i.e. they feel that it will fix the incompetence, or things will be more efficient. But is is a poison pill for the corrupt hierarchy. LOL/
In communist countries, or ex-communist countries to be exact, the increased transparency that is automatically afforded by such software, tends to be a damper on corruption. However, as Russia has demonstrated, with its Religious revival, things will not go right until the society at large is given a moral compass.
Which is why education toward CIVIC DUTY is critical. Distasteful as some may consider civil service, it is vital to the maintenance of a free and prosperous land
With Elections Coming up end of May & looks like Ruling Party will get under 50%, things will get worse...Sabotage & incompetence are a daily occurrence...
You know. An hour or two. Itβs an inconvenient but still mildly funny and not entirely unbelievable mistake. I mean itβs still ridiculously stupid and retarded but you could at least see it happening elsewhere.
But 9 days?
Iβm mildly impressed the country is still as intact as it is. Given the frequency similar stories of incompetence role out of South Africa. Granted I use βintactβ very, very loosely
Exactly, NOT ONE Capable person who just used his/her brain to Maybe work it out...As for our Power Situation the ANC Were Told Over & Over in 2002 to start expanding the grid with more power stations,...'Load Shedding'(Power Cuts) started in 2008 and has Continued to this day...Only 16 years of Intermittent & Unreliable supply... No Big Deal...
By the way before 'Democracy' SA supplied Large parts of Africa with Electricity at the Cheapest rate Worldwide...Now, Cant keep the lights on at home...
No doubt the build-more-infrastucture suggestion was considered not Green enough.
I suppose they expect people to buy generators (and then impose rations on the amount of fuel one is allowed to buy at the pump) , or even solar panels or something ideological like that (there will be days when it won't work. LOL).
βThe most dangerous irony is, people are angry with others because of their own incompetence.β β Amit Kalantri

Also, sending prayers for you, my fren.
Good men naturally gravitate away from political power and psychopaths crave it.

ππ
One would have to wonder whether someone turned it off on purpose, or it was incompetence.
It might be a little of both.

A relative of mine was carjacked over there. Permanent brain-damage. She does not live there anymore.

Using brains? It is hard to use mashed potato.

A few years back I remember reading about all the refinery pipelines being computerized/automated and nobody knew how to manually work them.
