Yeah that something has a key modifier before it that says "better that" because what they face outside this realm, if unrepentant, would be the second death. I swear between the millstones and table flips I think most "Christians" here have literally never read any other piece of the scripture. Just ignore the Commandments, the Beatitudes, and all the times that Christ taught to not meet evil with more evil.
There is a reason Matthew 7 exists and it would behoove you all that think violence is the solution to anything to actually read the Gospels, and if you need it to get a red letter version so you don't get confused. A lot of you are going rush headlong into the abyss chasing the demons thinking that was somehow the mandate because you embraced the teachings of the world over the teachings of Christ and then get sucked into the pit because it's all you can focus on.
Vengeance is the Lords. Vengeance is not the psychopathic supposed "followers" of His teachings thinking they can torture, maim, and kill their way out of the world of darkness.
βDo not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and oneβs foes will be members of oneβs own householdβ (Matthew 10:34-36).
Christ the Lord has come to bring a sword, which is the Word of His tongue, and the Word the cleaving blade between the wheat and tares, between the Children of God and the children of disobedience. Those that hear and follow Christ's Commandments, and those that hear and do not.
I don't think he really was. Saying one would be better off to have a millstone around their neck than to hurt a child didn't mean he would tie the millstone. It's a metaphor about karma and how energy attracts like energy.
You can't really call yourself a Christian and be pro-death, whether it's through genocide, abortion or the death penalty.
Jesus himself believed in the death penalty - something about millstones. FFS

Are you Christ the Lord?
