I agree with you, however, the democrats are using the loophole that they aren’t required to show PROOF of citizenship. They can lie and say they’re a citizen and not have to prove that they are and their vote will count. Did you not read the article?
A shit article referencing modern day opinions of activist courts slanted towards a group it benefits?
The founders really could have done us a solid by just adding the words, "nothing in these proceeding articles of this Constitution are to be interpreted differently than stated therein."
I agree it’s bullshit, however, those judges legislating from the bench are ruling that election officials cannot require proof of citizenship since it’s not a federal law— lawfare has been going on for a very long time, no common sense and the intent to corrupt rules the day. I don’t see the bill passing, unfortunately.
I can't believe this. I assume the constitution has wording in it that specifies only citizens can vote. Also, I guess the state legislatures control the elections in their state.
There is no Federal law requiring proof of citizenship. https://www.lwv.org/newsroom/press-releases/federal-court-blocks-proof-citizenship-voting-requirement
Anyone who has sworn that they are a US citizen when they are not, has broken the law.
