La Leche League Erases Mothers | The charity that taught me how to breastfeed is eliminating women by calling it ‘chestfeeding.’

The La Leche League is/was a "mother to mother" group that provides breastfeeding training to new mothers.
But it's gone woke:
... Meanwhile, The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, a guidebook by La Leche League that’s been around since the 1950s, is being rereleased in October under a new title: The Art of Breastfeeding—erasing the word woman entirely. So here we are, in the run-up to Mother’s Day, watching an organization that once celebrated motherhood cave to political correctness.
When I asked La Leche League if they would explain why they’ve made these changes, they declined to comment. ...
The comments are a good read, too:
... institutions can be captured by a small but vocal minority to the determent of the majority. ... Yes, but they can be taken back by larger and more vocal majority. See Vox Day's "Corporate Cancer" for a blueprint for how to do that: https://arkhavencomics.com/product/corporate-cancer/
One mother who was a member complained about this and:
... I then was kicked out from the group, but only after receiving a warning from a leader which stated “This is an inclusive group. Transphobia is not allowed. We are happy to support you in your journey, but this group may not be the right fit for you.” They also stated I had engaged in hate speech and bullying. ... This is about women abandoning women, throwing us to the wolves for not complying with their games, forgetting why they are there in the first place. Lactation support isn’t just about milk supply and latches and weaning-it is about seeing one another as fully actualized women who are integrating the female experience. In inviting men into that space, La Leche League is turning their backs to real women who need the witnessing required to work through hard motherhood moments.
This is terrible news...how very tragic. One of my fondest memories as a mother was breastfeeding my children...they all naturally weaned when I was pregnant with the next child. And my success was built on the knowledge I acquired at our LLL meetings...I even attended LLL conventions in Chicago where I heard some fantastic speakers...
In fact, this group of women was the foundation for our playgroup, babysitting co-op, food co-op, home school group and even sharing home birth doctors and support for learning alternative modalities such as homeopathies...these women helped me to understand motherhood in so many ways I might have missed on my own...
I have a special place in my heart for these vibrant, caring mothers...I have such fond memories of these families in my small NE Illinois town where 4 out of 5 of my children were born...we all continued in LLL for many years longer than we needed, to make our knowledge available to any new mothers who needed support for this very important aspect of motherhood. We are all grandmothers now...but we had a very special bond during this wonderful time that we came together as mothers...and WOMEN...
The powers that be won't rest easy until every institution that supports family values is destroyed...men are NOT women and have NO business being in a LLL support group. The boy scouts, the girl scouts, our schools, our churches and now this...will it ever end? My heart is very saddened by this news...thanks for sharing...have your babies at home, do NOT vaccinate, breastfeed your children, no childcare outside the home, be in charge of your healthcare using alternative remedies, teach them Biblical truths and home school them and you will be blessed beyond measure...if we don't fight to protect our children...who will??????
Amen. I nursed all four of my children but the first two got it a lot longer than the last two. Although I never tapped into LLL resources, I thought their mission at the time was a noble one. I encouraged my daughters to nurse their children. My oldest didn’t nurse until her fourth child was born. She did it, though. My next oldest nursed her baby. The youngest hasn’t had babies but plans on nursing when she does. The difference in colic is notable and the bond couldn’t be closer with a breastfed baby. My grandson’s wife couldn’t make it through the splitting nipple phase.
Look up the About Us from their website - they’re full on DEI. “ Our Commitment LLL USA Diversity and Inclusion Statement La Leche League USA (LLL USA) is committed to diversity and inclusion. LLL USA supports all breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and human milk feeding families, inclusive of their race, ethnicity, immigration status, national origin, creed, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, family structure, primary language, ability, or socio-economic status. LLL USA fosters diversity among its Leaders so as to incorporate a wide variety of perspectives and responsible decision-making.”
Yeah it seems that way. Probably started by women and you know how they are they just want everyone to get along so when the liberals came along and were like “we should be more inclusive” they just nodded and went along with it because “hey who doesn’t want to be inclusive” but now look you’ve gone woke now go broke
Very well said. I too have such fond memories of breastfeeding my baby and feeling the bond grow between us each time (except maybe at 2 a.m. in the morning) and they can never take that away from us.
Absolutely. I feel the same as you. Wonderful and warm memories, especially now that they are grown. We did the right thing, the good thing for our babies.
I took one sip of baby formula and said absolutely not; I'll breast feed. Those were some hard time financially for us but we got by and now they are fond memories.
This is so very sad to me. They attack men who want to be men and they attack women who want to be women. What the fuck do they want; cause it sounds like they want a world full of mentally ill sickos who actually think they can breastfeed just because they say they are women. I can't wait for this shit to end.
Yeah exactly. I want off this ride!!
