When I first heard the news I thought his copter got shot down, but after watching the truthful news I've decided to venture that the copter pilot augered into the side of a mountain because he couldn't see due to very very thick fog. He should have slowed down and found a place to land and wait out the fog, but such is life. I'll chaulk this up to act of God instead of an assassination plot.

Agreed. Helicopter ride + fog + mountains = end of the line. Once the fog is there, you have no safe way to find a place to land.
